Authoring tools

I’m planning to build my resource in dreamweaver, which does support accessible design; for example, whenever you add an image, video, audio, frames and form objects – it prompts for descriptions – to add an alt-tag. Different tags that can be used eg table summary tag.

My thoughts are that the guidelines work if they are applicable. It really depends on what level of understanding that the guidance is targetted at.
Guidelines can help people, but they can also cause confusion. I do think they work if produced with the right person in mind and produced at the right level.
