My organisation produces study material in HTML; sign language video / dvd / webcast; audio provided on cd/dvd/podcast; powerpoint; electronic format by PDF/word/rtf; book format and talking book; Braille; large print and giant print. Any student may require the study material in a different format – not just those who have an impairment or are disabled or non-disabled. Given unlimited human and technical resources; there is no one solution and students have individual preferences –so this wouldn’t make a difference to the way we work. We produce all our study material in all formats and they are readily available to all students when they need them. We have a team of people responsible for the production of alternative formats, because each are specialised and all are proof-read and quality checked. All the study material is copyright. We constantly are seeking professional advice and looking for new ways to produce formats that will benefits students. Student support is via email, telephone, web chat, text, face-to-face, post.
